Dear editor,
In the past my hometown used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and green grass could be seen everywhere. In order to build houses and grow more crops, people cut down more and more trees. As time went on, the whole forest was almost destroyed. Gradually, the green hills have changed into wasteland. As a result, sandstorms struck us now and then, from which we suffered a lot. So, I do hope all the people should realize the terrible result of not caring about our environment. Whats more, we should take good care of the forests and plant more trees instead of cutting them down so as to improve our living conditions.

The station was not very far from his office, and Mr. Black always went on foot, and he always went along the same street. Every evening he passed a poor man near a bridge. The man sat at the side of the road and sold matches, and there was always an old dog near him. A piece of wood was around the dogs neck, and the words Im blind. were on the piece of wood. Mr. Black was a kind man. He gave him a little money, but he did not take any of his matches. Then yesterday Mr. Black had a lot of work in his office and was very late. He said; My train always leaves at five minutes past six, and it is ten minutes to six now. I m not going to talk to the poor man today, and Im not going to give him anything.
